Tooth-Colored Fillings
Keep Your Smile White and Healthy with Tooth-Colored Fillings
We use bonded composite resin, tooth-colored fillings to restore decayed teeth to all-white beauty and optimal oral health. Tooth-colored fillings have several advantages over silver/amalgams. They look natural, and they actually bond to your teeth, providing a better seal to prevent further decay. They also insulate better against hot and cold and don't contain trace amounts of mercury.
To place a tooth-colored filling, Dr. Arian will first make sure you're completely comfortable. Then he will gently remove the decay and prepare the tooth. A small dab of composite resin, tinted to blend with your existing tooth, will be placed into your cavity. A curing light will harden the resin, then Dr. Arian can sculpt and polish the filling. If you want to reclaim your silvery smile, Dr. Arian can replace your metal fillings with composite resins.
